Not a stranger to scoring volleyed goals. Van Persie already has a spot at number 3 in Gunners' Greatest 50 Goals for his goal against Charlton (2006). In that game the Dutchman met the cross at high speed, 20 yards from goal, leaping into the air to keep his left boot over the ball, executing his volley perfectly. His volley Vs Everton required different technique. The strike was just as sweet.

“I have to give credit to Alex Song who gave him a great ball, but it’s never easy to score this kind of goal. You have to get the timing right. It is an art, but Robin masters it well. We seem to be very Van Persie-dependent at the moment. He delivered something special."
